25 years of the Municipal Puppet Theatre "Guguţă" - prepaid envelope from Moldova

The Municipal Puppet Theatre "Guguţă" was founded in Chişinău on November 27, 1992 and, since its creation, has been conceived as a theater for children, aimed at strengthening and promoting the cultural values of the Republic of Moldova.
Marked by its artistic director Victor Ştefaniuc (1947-2010), author of more than 40 puppet shows, this theater ("Teatrul Municipal de Păpuşi") has performed many times abroad (mainly in Ukraine, Romania and Russia) and has won several awards.
25 years (to the day) after its creation, the Post of Moldova has put into circulation a prepaid envelope (the 11th this year) dedicated to this theater.
Thank you very much Nicolae for having sent me this beautiful envelope (L 1.75, design: Vitaliu Pogolşa, print run: 10,000), with First Day cancellation from Chişinău (MD-2052)!

The stamp evokes this character of Guguţă, national symbol, imagined in 1967 by Spiridon Vangheli (born in 1932), author and translator of children's books.
In his books, Guguţă is wearing the Moldovan national dress as well as a lamb fur cap ("caciula de cârlan") that he never leaves. Thanks to this cap, Guguţă may well protect his classmates or an entire village from cold conditions. This cap grows indeed as his generosity and kindness occur !
Nicolae completed his postage with the two stamps issued on June 1, 2013 for the Year "Spiridon Vangheli" in Moldova.
These two stamps depict some illustrations inspired by two of Spiridon Vangheli's books : "Datoria lui Guguţă" (drawing by Igor Vieru) and "Cuşma lui Guguţă" (drawing by Octavia Ţarălungă).
The illustration on the envelope evokes various performances of this Municipal Puppet Theatre "Guguţă", such as "Luceafărul" (2007) inspired by the poem by Mihai Eminescu or "Hârzobul" (1994) by Laurenţiu Budău.
