"World Nomad Games 2016" stamp set on cover from Kyrgyzstan (KEP)

As for the first edition of these games in 2014, it was again the Kyrgyz Republic which organized, from 3 to 8 September 2016, these World Nomad Games, an international competition devoted to ethnic sports (16 in total) practiced mainly in Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan or Russia).
The mission of these Games, whose motto is "United in Force, United in Spirit", is primarily the revival and preservation of the historical cultural heritage of the nomadic people’s civilization of the world (over 30 countries and regions involved).
On August 8, 2016, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP) has released a beautiful series (3 stamps) dedicated to this second edition of the World Nomad Games.

Designed by Vitaliu Pogolşa and printed in Moldova by Nova Imprim (print run : 7,200 for each stamp, printed in a same sheet of 9 stamps), the 3 stamps of this series were used to frank this nice letter sent by registered mail from Bishkek on September 22, 2016. Thank you very much Iana !
These 3 stamps are featuring some of the equestrian events at the program of these games : mounted archery ("Jaa Atuu", 50 KGS), equestrian wrestling ("Er Enish", 100 KGS) and the "burning horseman" ("Oert Jalymdagan Chabandes", 150 KGS).
The logo of these nomad games (design : Mairamkul Asanaliev) is included on these 3 stamps, depicting a  horseman as a solar-person inspired by some of the petroglyphs of the archaeological site of Saimaluu Tash in Kyrgyzstan.

Such as the KEP, the 2nd designated postal operator of the country, the Kyrgyz Post also celebrated these World Nomad Games by issuing, on September 3, 2016, the souvenir sheet above depicting Kok-Boru (or Buzkashi), a sport in which horse-mounted players attempt to place a goat carcass in a goal.
In the medal standings of these games 2016, Kyrgyzstan has finished at the 1st rank (with 79 medals) ahead Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
The 3rd edition of these World Nomad Games should be held in 2018 in Turkey.
