Tribute to mathematician Sophie Germain in France

On March 21, 2016, the French Post has had the very good idea of issuing (in general sale) a new stamp dedicated to the philosopher and mathematician Sophie Germain (1776-1831) on the occasion of the 240th anniversary of her birth.
It is that stamp (€ 0.70, print run : 1,000,320, engraved by Elsa Catelin) which was used on the two First Day covers (dated March 18, 2016) from Paris below. Thank you very much Joël and Joël !
If I'm not wrong, this is the first stamp designed by French illustrator and cartoonist Edmond Baudoin (born 1942).
Edmond Baudoin (with Marion Favreau) also designed the FDC cancellation inspired by a portrait of the Academy of Sciences' archives.

Sophie Germain was the symbol of the difficulty of access to knowledge and sciences in particular for women in the early 19th century.
It is through a male alias (Antoine Auguste Le Blanc) she had an access to lessons of the École Polytechnique or get in touch with some great mathematicians of the time, such as Joseph Louis Lagrange and Carl Friedrich Gauss.
By working on Fermat's last theorem, Sophie Germain demonstrated a theorem bearing her name, linked to number theory.
After Fermat, she began a career in physics and laid the foundation for the modern theory of elasticity.

Sophie Germain became the first woman scientist authorized to attend meetings of the Institute of France.
The left side of that stamp (massacred by a mechanical cancellation above !) features the work of Sophie Germain on elastic surfaces as well as the statement of the main theorem of Sophie Germain about number theory.
