World and Arab Postal Days in Egypt

A big thank you Mohamed for this nice cover mailed on October 21, 2013 from the city of Alexandria :-)
The two se-tenant stamps (2 x 1.50 pounds), designed by Khalid Fikri from the Post of Qatar, are a joint issue commemorating the Arab Postal Day in 2008.
Under the auspices of the Arab League, the postal administrations of the 22 member countries were indeed invited to issue these joint stamps on August 3, 2008, the day of celebration of that Arab Postal Day each year.
A pigeon and a caravan of camels (in the desert in front of the pyramids of Giza) are featured on these two stamps because they are closely associated, in North Africa and in the Middle East, to the development of postal communications and goods transportation in the past.

But, as a reminder, this joint issue quickly turned into a fiasco because, among the 22 member countries of the Arab League, only 13 of them (Tunisia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Oman) have actually issued these joint stamps and only 7 of them (including Egypt) have issued them at the proper date, August 3, 2008 !
To note that all of these countries have issued these two stamps in a souvenir sheet with the exception of Egypt and Sudan...
Mohamed has used two other stamps devoted respectively to the World Environment Day (3 pounds, issued on June 5, 2013) and to the World Post Day (4 pounds, issued on October 9, 2013).
The stamp devoted to the World Environment Day refers to the "Think, Eat, Save" campaign of the Save Food Initiative, a partnership between UNEP and FAO among others, whose objective is to fight against food waste.
To note that the Egyptian Post is issuing every year a stamp dedicated to that Environment Day.
The other stamp features the logo of the World Post Day as well as the UPU's emblem.
