Un message pour partager à nouveau avec vous un courrier reçu récemment de la poste italienne suite à une commande de timbres...
Comme les années précédentes, la poste italienne a eu l'idée extravagante d'utiliser des timbres pour affranchir cette lettre recommandée (postée de Rome le 7 août 2012) !
Un grand merci donc et que cela inspire d'autres administrations postales...
Les 2 timbres identiques (2,80€) à droite ont été émis le 30 octobre 2004 pour commémorer le 900ème anniversaire de la construction de l'arsenal de Venise. Construit en 1104 par le doge Faliero, ce chantier naval (plus de 16000 personnes y travaillaient !) est considéré comme l'un des premiers sites véritablement industriels en Europe. Une partie des sites de cet arsenal est aujourd'hui occupée par la Biennale de Venise.

As in previous years, the Italian Post has had the extravagant idea of using stamps to frank this registered letter (mailed in Rome on August 7, 2012) !
So a big thank you and hoping that it'll inspire many other postal administrations...
The two identical stamps (€ 2.80) to the right were issued on October 30, 2004 to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the construction of the Venetian Arsenal. Built in 1104 by the Doge Faliero, this shipyard (more than 16,000 people worked there !) is considered as one of the first large-scale industrial sites in Europe. A part of the sites of this Arsenal is now used for the Venice Biennale.
A noter la façon originale (conception de Valeria Gasparrini) dont a été représenté cet arsenal sur ce timbre avec une vue aérienne évoquant un circuit imprimé...
Le timbre autocollant à 1,40€, émis le 11 septembre 2011, est consacré à l'année internationale de la chimie avec cette structure moléculaire et différents objets de chimistes au 1er plan. A noter le discret logo de la société italienne de chimie sur ce timbre en haut à droite...
Le dernier timbre (1,50€) fait partie d'une série de 3 timbres, émise le 24 octobre 2009 lors de l'exposition philatélique internationale "Italia 2009" organisée à Rome (le logo figure en bas sur ce timbre).
Ce 24 octobre était déclarée "Journée de la musique", la poste italienne a donc logiquement honoré 3 grandes personnalités italiennes de ce domaine culturel sur cette série : le célèbre ténor Luciano Pavarotti, le chanteur Mino Reitano et le compositeur et chef d'orchestre Nino Rota (1911-1979) ici, connu en particulier pour ces compositions de musiques pour le cinéma (plus de 170 films !).
To note the original way (design by Valeria Gasparrini) used to feature this Arsenal on that stamp with an aerial view evoking a printed circuit...
The self-adhesive € 1.40 stamp, issued on September 11, 2011, is devoted to the International Year of Chemistry with this molecular structure and different equipments used by chemists in the foreground. To note the discrete logo of the Italian Society of Chemistry on that stamp in the upper right...
The last stamp (€ 1.50) is part of a series of three stamps, issued on October 24, 2009 during the International Philatelic Exhibition "Italia 2009" held in Rome (the logo appears at the bottom on this stamp).
October 24th being declared the "Music Day", the Italian Post has logically honored three important Italian personalities of this cultural field on this series : the famous tenor Luciano Pavarotti, singer Mino Reitano and the composer and conductor Nino Rota (1911-1979) here, well known for his compositions of music for cinema (more than 170 movies !).
