Timbre EUROPA 2012 en Slovaquie

EUROPA 2012 stamp from Slovakia

Pour évoquer le thème EUROPA 2012, "Visitez...", la poste slovaque a choisi d'illustrer sur son timbre la plus ancienne pièce archéologique du pays en lien avec cette thématique !
Il s'agit en fait d'une partie de la décoration en relief d'un plat romain en argent, appelé "lanx diskos" et datant du 2ème siècle avant JC, découvert dans les années 1930 dans un tombeau d'un chef germanique à Krakovany.
Cette décoration représente différentes scènes depuis le début de l'ère romaine, en particulier des événements liés à l'expulsion du dernier roi étrusque de Rome, Tarquinius Superbus, en 509 avant JC.
C'est ce timbre (0,90€), émis le 4 mai 2012, qui figure en haut à gauche sur cette lettre ci-dessous postée le 12 juin 2012 de Bratislava. Merci beaucoup Robert :-)
La scène sur ce timbre évoque la visite au temple d'Apollon à Delphes des fils du roi, Titus, Aruns ainsi que leur cousin Lucius Junius Brutus.
To evoke the EUROPA 2012 theme, "Visit...", the Slovak Post has chosen to illustrate on its stamp, the oldest archaeological piece of the country in connection with this theme !
This is actually a part of the relief decoration of a Roman silver plate, called "lanx diskos" and dating from the 2nd century BC, discovered in the years 1930s in a tomb of a Germanic chief in Krakovany.
This decoration features various scenes from the beginning of Roman era, in particular some events related to the expulsion of the last Etruscan king in Rome Tarquinius Superbus, in 509 BC.
It is that stamp (€ 0.90), issued on May 4, 2012, that appears in the top left on this cover below mailed on June 12, 2012 from Bratislava. Thank you very much Robert :-)
The scene on this stamp depicts the visit to the temple of Apollo in Delphi of the king's sons, Titus, Aruns and their cousin Lucius Junius Brutus.


A noter que ce timbre a été émis avec une vignette attenante, dans une intéressante feuille de 8 timbres (4 paires tête-bêche).
Robert a utilisé un 2ème timbre, émis le 1er juin 2012, consacré à la journée internationale des enfants. Ce timbre au tarif permanent "T2 50g" (0,40€ actuellement) a été émis en feuille de 8 timbres avec des vignettes personnalisables attenantes, comme pour le timbre ci-dessus.
L'illustration reproduite sur ce timbre a été choisie suite à un concours impliquant plusieurs écoles secondaires d'art du pays.
La lauréate, Radka Hudoková, élève de l'école Ladislav Bielik à Levice, a représenté un gâteau d'anniversaire coloré pour symboliser les célébrations liées à cette journée internationale des enfants.
La vignette ci-dessus fait référence à Bibiana, le nom de la maison internationale des arts pour les enfants, fondée en 1987 dans le cadre de la célèbre biennale d'illustrations de Bratislava (BIB).
To note that this stamp was issued with an attached coupon, in an interesting sheet of 8 stamps (four tête-bêche pairs).
Robert has used a second stamp, issued on June 1, 2012, dedicated to the International Children's Day. This permanent rate "T2 50g" (currently € 0.40) stamp was issued in sheets of 8 stamps with personalized attached coupons, as its the case with the stamp above.
The illustration reproduced on this stamp was chosen following a competition involving several secondary schools of arts of the country.
The winner, Radka Hudoková, student at the school of Ladislav Bielik in Levice, has depicted a colorful birthday cake to symbolize the celebrations marking this International Children's Day.
The coupon above refers to Bibiana, the name of the international house of arts for children, founded in 1987 as part of the famous Biennale of Illustrations of Bratislava (BIB).
