Un grand merci Luis pour cette très jolie lettre recommandée en provenance d'Espagne, postée le 22 mai 2012 d'Alicante, avec un intéressant affranchissement mixte EUROPA/UPAEP !
Le timbre en haut à droite (0,70€), en 2 exemplaires, est le timbre EUROPA émis le 4 avril 2012 par la poste espagnole, consacré au thème "Visitez..." cette année.
Ce timbre au style surréaliste, conçu par J. Carrero, est inspiré du célèbre tableau "Les Ménines" par le peintre espagnol Diego Velasquez avec un cadre symbolisant le patrimoine historique et culturel de l'Espagne.
Les plages, le climat, la lumière sont également évoqués sur ce timbre, nous rappelant que l'Espagne est le 2ème pays le plus visité dans le monde avec près de 60 millions de touristes chaque année.

The top right stamp (€ 0.70), in two copies, is the EUROPA stamp issued on April 4, 2012 by the Spanish Post, devoted to the theme "Visit..." this year.
This stamp with a surrealist style, designed by J. Carrero, was inspired by the famous painting "Las Meninas" by Spanish painter Diego Velasquez with a framework symbolizing the historical and cultural heritage of Spain.
Beaches, climate, light are also featured on this stamp, reminding us that Spain is the second most visited country in the world with nearly 60 million tourists each year.
Luis a également utilisé 3 autres timbres faisant partie des séries UPAEP émises respectivement en 2005, 2006 et 2007.
Comme pour les timbres EUROPA, un thème est choisi chaque année pour les timbres émis par les pays membres de l'UPAEP (Union Postale des Amériques, de l'Espagne et du Portugal).
Celui émis en 2005 (le 14 octobre) ci-dessus avait pour thème la lutte contre la pauvreté avec une allégorie représentant deux mains ouvertes en offrande, l'éducation avec un crayon à papier, le travail avec un outil et les aliments avec un morceau de pain.
Le timbre UPAEP émis en 2006 (le 14 octobre) avait pour thème les économies d'énergie ainsi que la promotion des énergies renouvelables. Les énergies solaires et éoliennes sont en particulier évoquées sur ce timbre.
Le dernier timbre UPAEP ci-dessus, émis le 11 octobre 2007, reproduit un groupe de lettres de l'alphabet avec l'inscription "Education pour tous", le thème retenu cette année-là.
Luis has also used three other stamps being part of the UPAEP series issued respectively in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
As for EUROPA stamps, a theme is chosen each year for the stamps issued by member countries of the UPAEP (Postal Union of the Americas, Spain and Portugal).
The one issued in 2005 (on October 14th) above had the "struggle against poverty" for theme with an allegory depicting two open hands as an offering, education with a pencil, working with a tool and foods with a piece of bread.
The UPAEP stamp issued in 2006 (on October 14th) was devoted to energy saving and to the promotion of renewable energy. Solar and wind energies are featured in particular on that stamp.
The last UPAEP stamp above, issued on October 11, 2007, reproduced a group of letters of the alphabet with the inscription "Education for All", the theme of this year.
La poste espagnole a également émis, le 4 avril 2012, une carte postale pré-timbrée incluant le même timbre EUROPA évoqué plus haut.
La poste espagnole émet chaque année, entre 3 et 4 cartes de ce type incluant des tarifs permanents "A" (carte vendue 1,36€) ou "B" (carte vendue 1,77€). Mais je crois qu'il s'agit d'une première concernant un timbre EUROPA !

The Spanish Post has also issued on April 4, 2012, a prepaid postcard including the same EUROPA stamp mentioned above.
The Spanish Post is issuing each year, from 3 to 4 cards of this type, with permanent rates "A" (card sold € 1.36) or "B" (card sold € 1.77). But I think it is a first for a EUROPA stamp !
