Après un timbre avec un effet miroir en 2010 (Livres pour enfants) et un timbre rappelant l'aspect du bois en 2011 (Forêts), la principauté d'Andorre (poste française) a à nouveau fait preuve d'originalité pour l'émission du timbre EUROPA émis le 5 mai 2012, dont le thème est "Visitez..." cette année.
Il s'agit en fait d'un bloc-feuillet composé d'un timbre à 0,77€ (lettre prioritaire jusqu'à 20g vers les pays de l'UE) qui a été émis avec la mention "Points de vue / Visita Andorra" dans la marge en haut à gauche.
C'est cet intéressant bloc qui figure sur la jolie lettre ci-dessous postée le 12 juin 2012 d'Andorre-la-Vieille, capitale de la petite principauté pyrénéenne.

After a stamp with a mirror effect in 2010 (Children's Books) and a stamp recalling the appearance of wood in 2011 (Forests), the Principality of Andorra (French Post) has again demonstrated originality with the issue of its EUROPA stamp issued on May 5, 2012, devoted to the theme "Visit..." this year.
This is actually a souvenir sheet consisting of one € 0.77 stamp (priority letter up to 20g to the EU countries) that was issued with the words "Points of view / Visita Andorra" in the top left margin.
It is that interesting sheet that appears on the nice letter below mailed on June 12, 2012 from Andorra la Vella, the capital of the small Pyrenean Principality.

Le concepteur de ce bloc innovant, l'artiste Marc-André de Figueres, alias MA2F, a en fait adapté son concept artistique d'installation in situ, "Points 2 Vue", avec ce timbre évidé (l'intérieur d'un cadre) qui permet au client de créer son propre point de vue avec le paysage de son choix !
MA2F a en effet décliné ce concept avec son installation permanente "Points 2 vue autour du clocher de Collioure" qui propose une mise en scène de ce clocher à travers 12 points de vue différents...
Les marges de ce bloc montrent des vues aériennes emblématiques de la principauté d'Andorre : le pic de Casamanya en haut à gauche, la ville d'Andorre-la-Vieille en bas à gauche ainsi que le Val de Setúria à droite.
Est-ce la première fois qu'une administration postale met en circulation un timbre en partie évidé ??
The designer of this innovative souvenir sheet, the artist Marc-André de Figueres, alias MA2F, has actually adapted his art concept of installation in situ, "Points 2 Vue" ("Points of View"), with this hollowed stamp (within a framework) that allows customers to create their own perspective with the landscape of their choice !
MA2F has indeed declined this concept with his permanent art installation "Points 2 vue around the clock tower of Collioure" that offers a staging of this clock tower through 12 different points of view...
The margins of this block show some emblematic aerial view of the Principality of Andorra : Peak of Casamanya at the top left, the city of Andorra la Vella in the lower left as well as the Setúria Valley to the right.
Is this the first time that a postal administration puts into circulation a partly hollowed stamp ??
