Nouvelle lettre de Hong Kong

A new cover from Hong Kong

The nice letter below was franked with three stamps for a total value of $ 3.00, the exact postal rate for sending an airmail letter up to 20g from Hong Kong to France.
Thank you very much Kevin for this cover mailed on May 10, 2009 :-)
The three stamps used were all issued in 2006.
The right one ($ 1.40) is part of a series of four stamps issued on 15th of June 2006, each showing scenes symbolizing some Chinese idioms.
The idiom mentioned on the stamp below is "respect makes successful marriage"... The other three idioms depicted in this series are : "Reading is always rewarding", "Prepare for success" and "All in the same boat".
Some of these expressions are also used in France :-)

The central stamp is part of a nice set of 18 stamps, issued on 18th of July 2006, depicting some special attractions of each of the 18 districts in Hong Kong.
This stamp ($ 1.40) is devoted to the Wan Chai ditrict, one of the four districts of the Hong Kong Island (80 km²) located in the south of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong.
The building at the bottom left is the oldest surviving post office in Hong Kong ("Old Wan Chai Post Office"), built between 1912 and 1913. This building, a historical monument, ceased to operate in 1992.
The upper part of the stamp shows a wing of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (HKCEC), built on an artificial island between 1994 and 1997. This building is famous for its bird-like rooftop.
I don't know what is the object depicted to the right on this stamp ??
The last stamp on the left ($ 0.20) is part of a beautiful set of 16 definitive stamps (12 low value and 4 high value stamps), issued on December 31, 2006, depicting different species of birds.
This stamp represents a Collared Scops Owl (Otus bakkamoena), a common Owl species in most Asian countries.
